music trickling through spaces somewhere in the woods grown over the strange rusted out husks of company towns. haunting the 8-track car stereos of abandoned ufo watchers' station wagons. celestial and possessed of a sinister undertone. turns into a cryptid indeed can't pick favorites, this is a sonic web all caught up in itself. self contained as it were. and self assured of that fact in very clever bits.

This is perplexing me to ... peace*. What? An 18piece ensemble - using e.g. sitar, dulcitone, bassoon, kendang, erhu besides "normal" winds, strings, keys & percs - plays something between ±modern but un-bulky melodic chamber and multi-ethno-/world-music. First, compositions seem very easy to "digest". Then, I (you?) get perplexed by their shrewdly balanced complexities, bringing me (you?) balmy & *peaceful exitement; reliably every time I (you?) listen. Thank you, Charlie Cawood!
